WB Michael Robinson:

I want to personally, and on behalf of every brother at Wolcott, take this opportunity to thank WB Michael Robinson for his many years of faithful service to Wolcott Lodge as Secretary. The office of Secretary is a difficult and important office of your Lodge with many vital, time-consuming and often tedious duties. WB Mike will be honored for his past service as Secretary at the February 4th Stated Communication. Please plan to attend to honor WB Mike.

Dues:

At the 2009 Annual Meeting, following much discussion and deliberation, the Brethren voted to increase due from $100.00 to $110.00 for 2010 and to $120.00 for 2011.

Brothers, each year Wolcott Lodge No. 60 must pay a per brother assessment to the Grand Lodge of Connecticut in the amount of $55.00. As a consequence, the Grand Lodge Assessment will now take one-half of your dues and the remainder is used to support and maintain our Temple, as well as for charitable purposes.

Brothers’ 2010 dues are now due and payable. Checks should be made payable to Wolcott Lodge No. 60 and mailed to:

WB Bruce A. Ekenbarger, Secretary

P.O. Box 341

Stafford, CT 06075

As always, contributions in excess of Lodge dues are needed and greatly appreciated to maintain our beautiful, antique Temple and to provide for our charitable purposes.

Lodge Fund Raising Activities:

Even with the increase in dues, the Lodge must continue its Fund Raising Activities, not only to maintain the Lodge and its furnishings, but equally, if not more importantly, to do its charitable work.

RWB Mike has always given generously of his time. For the coming year, probably in April or May (more to come in my next Trestle Board), Chef Michael has agreed to prepare a multi-course Italian Night Dinner, one of the Lodge’s most well-received, well-attended and much demanded fund raiser.

Italian Night Dinner has always been a tremendous fund raiser for Wolcott No. 60, and this year’s Italian Night Dinner is expected to be no different. The Brothers’ help is much needed for this Dinner which is prepared at Wolcott and then served across the road at beautiful Memorial Hall. Please indicate your interest in assisting and helping out with the Dinner to the WM as soon as you possibly can because it takes many laboring brothers to put on the Italian Night Dinner.

I trust that each of you will have an enjoyable, happy and meaningful holiday season and a very happy New Year. Let us all pray for peace, good will and charity for all mankind in 2010. So mote it be.

Fraternally and sincerely,

Brian S. Newman, WM
